On Wednesday, May 13th, we held the first of our "Family Reading Night" workshops in the library for parents of students in grades K-2. Lead by our dynamic librarian Ms. Pinero and our ESL master teacher Ms. Crespo, the power packed hour included a discussion about the benefits of reading at home, an enthusiastic read aloud by Ms. Pinero, refreshments, prizes, and free books.
The next workshop in the series will be held on Tuesday, May 26th from 2:30 to 3:30 and will focus on conversational reading techniques. Have a child in K, 1st, or 2nd grade? Please join us. We'll have snacks for you and your child, more free books, and we guarantee you'll learn something. Hope to see you on the 26th. Til then, enjoy this beautiful spring weather. And keep reading with your children!
